Design I Robot code bootstrapping simulator

I am working on a simulator for the PIC code we write for design class so that the performance can be visualized before/during actual testing. My hope is that programming issues can be cought? Or that the simulation engine can run VERY fast, say beyond 10X realtime providing cool visualizations of long-term pathfinding algorithms. Or the BEST part would be if it it could be fast/flexable/realistic enought to implement “genetic” code modification, from as simple as iterative changes in a single behavioral variable such as the amount to turn when a bumper is triggered, to the inclusion/exclusion/prioritizin
